Why I will never run for re-election.

Washington D.C. is full of career politicians who are only there to represent their own names and fame, not the people who elect them. I will never run for re-election for several reasons. First, because I know that re-election campaign funds are the first thing that congressional representatives are offered by lobbyists who want to buy their influence. This Texan is not for sale. Secondly because of how much I love my home here in Fort Worth and I want to live here, not in D.C.

My opponent is a career politician who was elected in 1996 after serving as mayor of Ft. Worth. She was not a millionaire when she was elected to Congress, but she is now. That tells her story well enough. It’s time to retire Kay Granger and bring her back to Panther City. She’s got some explaining to do.
